Google has been testing a slew of features for its YouTube Android app. And now
there?s another new one spotted that shows Google search results within the
YouTube Android app. As firstreported
[] by XDA Developers,?this feature was spotted by Reddit user named ?u/TheMrIggs?
who searched for ?open beer with knife? in the app. The search results showed
related videos along with ?results from the web? card from Google search.

Google hasn?t released any information yet around the feature and it has been
only rolled out to some users through a server-side update. There isn?t any
information around when Google is going to release a wider roll-out of the
feature. With the new feature, if you don?t find what you were looking for on
YouTube or on the search card, you?ll have to simply tap on the link at the
bottom of the card to direct to Google. The feature is aimed to help users find
useful results online.

In another related news, YouTube recently launched a new feature called ?bedtime
reminders? that?s aimed towards helping users sleep on time. With this feature,
users would be able to set up start and end time in the settings around whether
they want the bedtime reminder to show while the video is on or once the video
is over.
